From the summit of Middle Fell. We had walked up Greendale Gill and stopped for lunch at Greendale tarn which was very pretty. However the area to the west and north of the tarn was a very boggy nightmare. This was the occasion when I had to do part of the descent backwards holding Nick's shoulder because my knees hurt so much on downhill stretches (Wainwright #12, 1909ft). We visited here again in 2021.
