90. Seattle - 26th July 2015

Seattle from across the bay. We parked near here and walked along to Alki beach about a mile or so with Angie and her family. Great views across to the Space Needle and the rest of the Seattle skyline made me remember the day that Lee Ann and I got to the top of the outside of the Columbia Building in the 80's.

A strange incident occurred on that afternoon. We eventually got a snack at Alki beach, about a mile along from here. Coming out of the restaurant a passing guy in a pickup thought I had failed to hold the door of the restaurant open for his wife and baby who were leaving behind us. He had observed this when driving by from some distance away. He stopped his truck and although he didn't get out he was very angry and aggressive. No-one else had seen the event happen including the allegedly offended lady. It was a weird incident and made me think about the difference between Brits and Americans, well some Americans anyway.

There was a little market running next to the beach and we bought a small plate which we used for many years to put our used teabags onto. On the walk back to the car it rained and we all got soaked.
