From the summit of Whoap on the Lank Rigg walk. Looking towards Grike, Crag Fell and Great Borne. This was the second day of our week in and around Ennerdale. Nick and I arrived the evening before and walked up Crag Fell and then along that ridge to Grike. We passed the weather station that you can just make out to the right of the summit of Grike. Today was a calm day and pleasant walking, but visibility was patchy and by the time we reached the summit of Lank Rigg we were in cloud. The pattern on the side of Crag Fell and Grike is the stumps of trees. On the way back down from Lank Rigg I lost my hat. Crag Fell (Wainwright #31, 1716ft), Grike (Wainwright #32, 1601ft).
