The last picture from our 3 days in Patterdale, looking down the path back to the Grisedale Beck bridge. We had walked 9 Wainwrights and nearly 10,000ft of ascent. Careful checking of MWIS, looking at Place Fell from the breakfast table each morning, and a bit of luck, meant that we always stayed under the cloud. Terrific views as a result even in that wind. Staying in the area was a good idea, we really got to know it well and only got in the car for the short drive to The Brotherswater Inn on day 2. An hour and a half after this picture we were heading home after a really great 3 days.
