A bit further up the path above Angle Tarn you approach this pool from below water level which gives a strange effect as it comes into view at eye height. In the Langdales, Sergeant Man is just coming into view. You will notice that are two features called Lining Crag quite close to each other - one large one in Langstrath valley and the other smaller below Greenup Edge and viewed better on this picture from Sergeant's Crag.
