From the top of Allen Crags we overlooked Esk Hause, the junction of many paths. We could also see down over Sprinkling Tarn and across to Great Gable and Pillar. There are so many fells to see from here I began planning a future walk to take in Great End and Ill Crag (not a Wainwright! Why?). Glaramara looked temptingly close but decided to continue on plan B and head for Esk Pike next. (Wainwright #80, 2575ft)
