Rain showers falling on the slopes of Lingmell as we climbed up the nose of Kirk Fell. We had arrived the day before and had a wander around to get acquainted with Wasdale Head. We walked up the nose to see how far we could get but after an hour decided that was enough. The white gable end is our cottage.
