776. Imlil - 16th February 2023
After a very wet and cold walk up the hill from the town of Imlil. Our feet were soaked and freezing by the time we reached this view from the terrace of the Toubkal Kasbah.
Imlil is the most popular starting point for hiking to Mount Toubkal which is the highest mountain in North Africa at 4,167 metres (13,671 ft). Imlil itself is at 1,800 metres (5,900 ft). Our guide up the hill from the town centre had taken Richard Branson trekking a few years ago. The day after our trip the road up to Imlil was closed by the police due to the snow.
