We stayed at the Lodge in the Vale in Legburthwaite. This was near the start of our walk to Raise, White Side and eventually ending up on Helvellyn. Anna and Ela made it to the top and Mia and I waited at the base of Little Man. It was rather a soggy walk back down the side of White Side, the path being difficult to find. As the gloom gathered we were glad to reach the pub before last food orders. After a meal we walked backed along the main road which was very dark, giving us a great view of the stars.
