Buttermere valley on the way up the path to Scarth Gap at about 11.00am. Anna and Ela had dropped us off at the car park and walked around Buttermere. The last time we were here was the 1st of September 2011 to walk up Haystacks. Our plan today was to walk along the ridge to Great Borne and then back to the house at the Croasdale. That's 5 Wainwrights in the plan - High Crag, High Stile, Red Pike, Starling Dodd and Great Borne. We chatted to this guy several times on the way up and saw him again on the summits of High Crag and Red Pike.
