We ate lunch sheltered in the small walled enclosure marked "Livestock Pen" on the map, at the north end of Dalehead Tarn. We watched two hikers ahead of us on the path up to Dale Head and then set up after them. Patches of light kept catching Borrowdale making it look peaceful.
