12.44 Panorama 386 We got dropped off in Little Town and walked up to Hause Gate. Just after we started we met two girls walking two llamas up the path. They were being trained on the route to provide a tourist attraction. The weather was pleasant for this part of the walk but as we reached the plateau of Maiden Moor we could feel the wind just starting to pick up a little - a sign of what was to come.

12.59 Panorama 387 We nearly missed the actual summit and had to turn back to bag it properly.

13.52 Panorama 388 By the time we got to the summit of High Spy the wind had picked up considerably and after a photo we sheltered behind the cairn for a breather.

15.21 Panorama 389 Looking back down to Dalehead Tarn where we had lunch. A steep ascent straight after lunch is not recommended.

15.24 Panorama 390 Looking along the length of Newlands Valley from the side of Dale Head.

16.14 Panorama 391 When we reached the top of Dale Head the wind was ferocious making standing at the summit impossible. As we continued Hindscarth, Buttermere and Gatesgarth Farm came into view.

16.15 The paths up from Honister to Fleetwith Pike with Grey Knotts under cloud in the background.

  16.16 Buttermere

16.17 Maiden Moor catching a spot of sunlight.

16.53 From Hindscarth summit with a view towards Skiddaw, Keswick and Cat Bells.

  16.53 Panorama 392 Hindscarth summit.

17.20 Panorama 393 Hindscarth descent looking towards Robinson.

17.33 Panorama 394 From the side of Robinson it was possible to see Cat Bells and Derwent Water to the left and Honister to the right.

18.04 Taking shelter from the wind on the summit of Robinson.

18.21 Looking down on Newlands Hause from Robinson.

18.23 Panorama 395 Starting the descent of Robinson towards Buttermere Moss and High Snockrigg.

  18.30 Crummock Water and Loweswater.

19.30 Even though we were much lower it was still very windy on the last bit of the path down the front of High Snockrigg.
