The ascent via Piers Gill. We are stopped for a breather just after crossing Greta Gill. The path ahead is up the left side of Piers Gill. Crossing over Middleboot Knotts was the only scramble needed on this route. I left my bag at the bottom of that bit and scrambled up it with a bit of shoving from my assistant who then went back for the bag.
