We had decided to include Mungrisedale Common today because the route up the side of The Tongue had been so easy. A lengthy walk across the featureless and slightly squelchy Mungrisedale Common before we reached the least impressive Wainwright of all. Fortunately the current conditions meant that the area was not as wet as it can be. Only by standing on the summit stones could I include Derwent Water in the picture (Wainwright #141 2077ft).
