We descended a little way to the south to get a better view and sheltered behind this wall to have lunch. After this we headed east towards Threshthwaite Mouth and Gray Crag but the weather and visibility deteriorated quickly so when we got to the bottom of the steep drop into the mouth we decided to call it a day and headed for home down the valley and back up the road.
