After parking on the road near Calebreck we walked up an easy path around West Fell and then turned towards High Pike. We had been expecting scorching weather but is was actually delightfully cool, with a slight breeze and the occasional raindrop. The haze made attractive ridges of the pennines out to the west. We passed through the disused Driggeth Mine. The sign on the post near the left of the picture warns of the danger of mine shafts.
