A short diversion from the main path to Gowk Hill with a view over Mosedale. We are looking down over the first part of our walk up Beda Fell in January as well as our walk up the side of Steel Knotts in August 2021. "Gowk" is a northern word for "Cuckoo" and we did hear a cuckoo calling when we were in Howtown on the early part of the walk.
