The Scramble on the corridor route

The image below shows the only significant scramble on the corridor route between Styhead and Lingmell Col. It is roughly 2/3 of the way along from Styhead or 1/3 from Lingmell col.

The scramble must be done downwards when heading towards Scafell Pike and upwards when heading away from it. This picture was taken on our way down from the summit.

The scramble will be fairly easy for most people if it is dry. I have marked the approximate route for safest way up. As with most scrambles it is easier going up than coming down.

Whichever way you are going stay close to the hill side which is better than trying to go around to the left. There is a large arrow scratched into the rock at the bottom which is helpful on the way home.
