Very variable. This camera is often dazzled by the sun as the main part of its view looks south, so it works best when the sky is overcast or in the summer when the sun is higher.
Historical reliability
Good in the past but has had significant downtime in 2024.
Other Comments
This is a unique camera which sweeps left and right showing the road outside the Three Shires Inn. Its also in an area that is not served by any other cameras nearby. You can sometimes see traffic, walkers and activity in the fields on the other side of the road. There is a nice view towards Wetherlam at the right hand side of the sweep and Black Fell is also visible to the South East.
