| About this page | ||
|---|---|---|
I check this list regularly, usually several times a week and often every day (last check was
16/3/26). I mark any that I find offline I move webcams that seem to have disappeared to the list below. I also periodically scan around for new webcams and add them as needed. The star ratings are a measure of how much I like the camera and the view it gives. This depends on the location, picture quality, usefulness, reliability and how interesting the view usually is. Raise Ski Club has a small lift situated on the side of Raise, above Glenridding. The camera is rarely used nowadays and I can't find a live link. If there is snow you could try their Twitter Page or their website or Ravenglass A webcam at the western end of the Ravenglass-Eskdale railway showing the train turntable. New still image every few seconds. Alston webcams Alston is a town in the pennines to the North East of the Lake District. Most of the webcams cover roads in the area. Black Combe Weather Cam - Well south of the lake district but shows a large number of preprogrammed views including Black Combe and the distant Scafell range. River Greta, Keswick - Located on the A591 at the bridge over the Greta, NW of the town centre, just past the pencil museum. I'm not putting this camera on the main page because it features very annoying adverts and an audio message suggesting you "go pro" to remove them. Useful for looking at the height of the river. Windy Webcams - Windy has many features to explore. As far as webcams in Cumbria goes it only show a few (4 or 5) all of which are on my page above. These links have an interesting feature that lets you scroll through historical images taken over the last day, month, year or even lifetime. Windy is also a quick way to browse other webcams a bit further afield. |
