    Notes on recent changes

    13/11
Rather a strange effect on the Lakeside Pier camera (Windermere south end) at the moment. I think they might have a net over it.
    12/11
Coniston Boating Centre returns with a new camera and view.

  About this page

I check this list regularly, usually several times a week, (last check was 14/11/24 ) and mark any that I find offline. I also notify the operators when appropriate.

I move webcams that seem to have disappeared to the list below. I also periodically scan around for new webcams and add them as needed.

The star ratings are a measure of how much I like the camera and the view it gives. This depends on the location, picture quality, usefulness, reliability and how interesting the view usually is.

The info button has examples of photographs from the webcam (some labelled to identify what you can see), links to panoramic photos taken in the view and other information about the webcam.

Other webcams

Blencathra East Face Precise location unknown

Alston webcams Alston is a town in the pennines to the North East of the Lake District. Most of the webcams cover roads in the area.

Black Combe Weather Cam - Well south of the lake district but gives a nice scrolling view of the coast and Black Combe

Windy Webcams - Windy has many different features to explore. As far as webcams in Cumbria goes it has links to five. These links have an interesting feature that lets you scroll through historical images taken over the last day, month, year or even lifetime. The webcams are Pooley Bridge, Coniston Water, Langstrath Valley, Glenridding Hotel and Fern Howe.
