Usefulness for assessing weather
Good for low level weather and clouds but nothing much about conditions on the fells. You can see what people are wearing, if it is raining and to some extent the wind.

Usually good. Sometimes limited on bright winter mornings when the sun is low.

Generally Good. Some interruptions over the last few years often due to internet supply issues and storm damage.

Supplied by the official visitor website for Keswick. A webcam providing a view along part of Keswick pedestrian centre with distant fell ridge near Walla Crag. This town centre webcam from the Town Hall, gives a good general view of people in Keswick.

In 2024 the camera was affected by a storm and was remounted with a view slightly to the left of its previous view. It is also displayed in a thinner image now presumably to work better on a phone. In 2025 it moved again slightly to display more sky.
