Usefulness for assessing weather |
Fair. Good for snow conditions at higher levels. |
Usefulness in different lighting conditions and times of day |
Good. As it is one of the highest webcams at over 750m it is often in the clag though. |

This is a webcam designed to show snow conditions at the ski run on Raise. It is run by the Lake District Ski Club. It has 2 different views, one facing North-east towards Ullswater (which I think is used outside the skiing season) and then another facing south up the hill (which I think is used in the skiing season). I cannot find a website for the feed of this camera so I have linked to the Twitter feed instead which is updated sporadically. One advantage of this is that you can scroll back through historical images. This camera is often discontinued when the chance of snow has passed. |
