The cloud looked higher this morning and the wind had dropped. We drove a couple of miles up the road from The Patterdale Hotel to the Brotherswater Inn and paid £2.50 to park the car for the day. We walked up the road a little and then cut onto the footpath and began the climb up Caiston Glen.
