We reached the top of Red Screes at 1pm . The summit is a large area and later we walked over to the southern edge where there are two more cairns. All the pools on the top were nearly completely frozen. The sky was clearing all the time so good views in all directions. Ingleborough to the south-east is 30 miles away. (Wainwright #66, 2546ft)
