It had been raining gently for a few minutes by the time we reached the bottom of Pike O Stickle, making the rocks slippery. We walked up a path of clear steps but this came to an end at a very steep drop through a gully. It seemed as though we had to scramble from there but although Nick found a way up, I couldn't. I walked back a few yards and found a slightly easier way, eventually getting to the top. On the way back we found a much better way which joined near the bottom of the steps. (Wainwright #77, 2326ft)
