There is a little confusion over Caudale Moor so we visited most of it to be sure and photographed the best views and the highest points. To the east and the first part we met is Stony Cove Pike which Wainwright names as his summit although identifying which point exactly is Stony Cove Pike was not easy even with GPS. In addition, to the west is another point at the same height labelled Caudale Moor on the OS app. Coming up the path from the north for this sudden view of Windermere and the west side of the Kentmere horseshoe was dramatic.
